Smith & Nephew'santimicrobialACTICOAT™ FLEX 7 wound dressing releases high-dose silver and iseffective against 150 types of germs. The effect lasts up to seven days against pathogenic microorganisms. When used as a wound contact layer in combination with negative pressure wound therapy, the overlay can be used for up to three days. The release of the silver provides anantimicrobial barrier to the wound, reduces and prevents wound infections and minimizes unpleasant wound odour.
