Product Description
The streptococcus quick test from Abbot allows the doctor to quickly and safely check for a group A streptococcal infection using a throat swab. As a result, treatment can immediately follow the diagnosis. The quick test is based on animmunological test procedure(chromatographic immunoassay rapid test) and is used for thequalitative detection of strep A antigens. If the pathogen is detected, antibiotic therapy can be started quickly, e.g. in the case of tonsillitis or middle ear infections.

- Pour 4 drops of reagent A (red) and 4 drops of reagent B (colourless) into the extraction tube
- Gently swivel to mix (the colour of the solution turns light yellow)
- Put the throat swab in the yellow solution
- Turn the swab around 10 times and leave it in the tube for 1 minute
- Press the swab to the side of the vessel
- Press the bottom of the tube together while taking out the swab, properly dispose of the swab
- Put the tip onto the extraction tube
- Pour 3 drops (ca.100 µl) of the extraction solution onto the sample opening S of the test cassette
- Read the results after 5 minutes
